The 3rd installment in the PRAVUS series . It is the book where we get to luv & enjoy our beloved ZAURAN !!!...aaahhhh sigh with me )

A horrible betrayal sends Zaria to her 1 true safe place ...Zauran (sigh again )After all Zaria does & gives of her self, to be betrayed is the last of what she can take . So she does what any of us would do ;) runs to the arms of a smoking hot Neuri alpha & her true love Zauran ( again ...sigh) but Zaria being all awesome Zaria she doesnt make it there without attracting the attention of sexy scary older Neuri brother Ryan. ....& here poor Zaria goes again with the over abundance of male attention & lust ......well she is super sexy , light incarnate after all ;)

With this book we are introduced to not only Ryan but to my amzement a 3rd phoebe-look-alike, Bozena (who is also Darise ex ) .Ok so the similarities between Pheobe & Zaria had us asking question but with adding Bozena into the mix there is not longer any doubt that this is not a conincidence & that "something special" that attracts the supers to the girls is REALLY something SPECIAL .

Zauran & Zaria are finally where they sould be but because of some broken rules they are once again pulled apart . Lessons need to be learnt & this is done through bloody violence , kidnapping & the love of a king in the form of a key ;)

This truely was the most emotions book in the series ....at 1 point i was yelling abuse at my ipad while sobbing big hiccupy sobs .......but it was sooooo totally worth it !!!

This book took my breath away. This book is a roller coaster ride of emotions. Of darkness and light. Of betrayal and redemption. Zaria feels betrayed by Darise - as any woman would - she runs to the one safe place - the one man - who is HOME for her. Zaria's and Zauran's relationship is tumultuous and magical. The imagination that flows from this author is at times overwhelming, yet sensual and thrilling. Gut wrenching is the best way I can describe turning each page of this book. I could not stop - I needed to know everything. The ending with Seithe broke my heart - left me sobbing with an ache in my soul. Jowendrhan is the character you hate to love or love to hate - I can't decide! And I am hoping to find out more about Ryan... The imagination and the undeniable ability to weave a fabric of pure art is Poppet!
And I can not wait until the next installment of this amazing series.

Whether stated or unstated in a story, we've become used to the old tired traditions, vampires tracing their genealogy back to Romania, Transylvania, and Vlad the Impaler. Those ideas have morphed into the tales we've heard over the years regarding the rivalry between vampires and werewolves and the terror they unleash on humans.

In Zauran, Author Poppet once again takes us on a different path; into the lands of the Balkans, to Serbia and the surrounding area. We're thrust into a story she's explored in other books, one that tells of a centuries old bitter and contentious struggle between Vampyre and Neuri.

This story feels ancient. This story feels authentic. Zauran is a tale of two families, one Vampyre, one Neuri and their part in this age old war, a tenuous peace and the roles these two types of beings have in a human world. But were it that simple. In Zauran we are also reintroduced to Phoebe (originally from "Seithe", another Poppet novel). We also meet two other women, Zaria, and Bozena. The three of them could be identical triplets.

Who are these women, and why are they so desired by both Vampyre and Neuri? Unwittingly these three females fracture the fragile peace and even pit members of the same families against each other. Here we find immortal characters seeking the very same things we humans want; love, truth, peace and redemption.

It's a story of surprising twists and turns with characters we come to love and hate, admire and empathize with. And when we get to the end we face profound but simple truths about who we are and what we want, what we need. We realize that if we look deep enough inside ourselves, we've known the answers all along. One of Poppet's very best.
